And now . . .

And now . . . my camera is broken!
But life is good and I'm really enjoying being an M and Co shop-girl :)
Hope you are all very well, Japanese friends. I think of you very often! Happy rainy season to you!

Helsinki Eriko!

My lovely Japanese friend Eriko came to see me! Via Helsinki! She stayed for 3 nights and we had a fantastic weekend together and did lots of things in Sevenoaks and in London - eating, drinking, walking, museums, shops. And she gave me a lovely present from Finland. Thank-you for coming, Eriko! Hope your journey back to Tokyo was a good one! (Sorry I'm showing your photo without asking you if it's OK.)

Tracy Thorn!

This is Tracy Thorn on BBC Breakfast TV last week. If you know the group Everything But The Girl (EBTG) then you will know her. She hasn't recorded anything for a long time because she's been taking care of her children, but she's coming back and I saw her play one of her new songs and it was really beautiful. She seemed a lovely person - very creative and positive and I felt inspired by her :)

Independent me!

Luckily, the weekend after Shun left, my sister's husband had birthday drinks in a pub so we all had a happy time drinking, eating and playing with Baby Edie. I couldn't feel lonely :)
Next day, Mum, Dad and I had a lovely time visiting a big old house in the countryside. It was designed and built by a friend of William Morris, and inside there were lots of William Morris fabrics and textiles. And the gardens and views were beautiful!

The shadow of Shun

Ah! Shun has gone back to Japan, so I just have the shadow of him for company . . . .
